Aloe barbadensis

Aloe vera gel is used topically on the skin after sun exposure or irritation. The (debittered) juice is traditionally used for digestive purposes.

Gel topically; drinkable juice according to the packaging (choose debittered, without aloin).

Cautions

Aloin-containing juice has a strong laxative effect and is not suitable for long-term use or during pregnancy.
